The question
In a trial at a district hospital, 50 children with acute diarrhoea receive ORS with zinc and 50 receive ORS alone. Diarrhoea lasts more than 5 days in 10 children given zinc and in 30 given ORS alone. What is the chi-square value, and what is the conclusion at the 5% level (table value 3.84)?
